Educational Visits

Keeper Club

Is your child a budding zookeeper? At Bridlington Animal Park we offer a weekly Zoo Keeper Club where children can become involved in many aspects of life as a zookeeper.

The club is held weekly and will immerse animal lovers into life at our zoo. The club gives children the chance to find out what it is like to work with various creatures such as meerkats, zebra and parrots. Our club is open to Home educated children during the week and run as a weekend club on Saturdays and Sundays for school based children. Our programme of study will include information about animals from different continents, their habitat, traits, the weather, what they eat (carnivores, omnivores and herbivores) and conservation amongst other topics. The course will centre around different skills needed to be a keeper and some learning will be theory based whereas there will also be practical skills and a chance to get up close and personal with a range of our animals.
The club is run on either Wednesday or Thursday 10.00am- 12.00 noon for home educated children and for those who attend school Saturday or Sunday 2pm-4pm.

The price is £12.00 per session and can be paid each week when the children are dropped off.

It is open for children aged 7-11 year olds.

There will be a small group of children at each club, up to 15 per session.
